Ms. Du is the Counsel of Haiwen & Partners.  Ms. Du’s practice focuses on capital market, M&A, PE and general corporate.

Ms. Du joined Haiwen in 2016. Before joining Haiwen, she worked at another reputable law firm and a financial institution separately. 

In the area of capital markets transactions, Ms. Du has represented both issuers and underwriters in numerous equity and bond offerings. Representative transactions include the initial public offerings of China Telecom, Kuaishou Technology, China East Education, Lepu Biopharma, China Education Group, Chunlai Education and Sinomax Group, and bond issuance of Weigao Group, China Education Group, Weimob and China Telecom.

In the area of M&A and PE transactions, Ms. Du’s representative transactions include the acquisition of Songtian College, Songtian Vocational College, Yantai Institute of Science and Technology, Chongqing Foreign Languages and Foreign Affairs College, Haikou University of Economics and its affiliated art schools on behalf of China Education Holdings; the acquisition of Biosensor International Group Ltd. by Bluesail Medical; the investment in the Xiong 'an Puhua Water Project on behalf of the Three Gorges Capital; representing a private fund to participate in the independent spin-off and privatization transaction project of the examination and evaluation business of a US listed company; the bidding of Philippines telecom operators on behalf of China Telecom.

Ms. Du received her LL.B. degree and her Master of Laws degree from the China University of Political Science and Law in 2010 and 2013, respectively, and her LL.M. degree from Hamburg University and Columbia Law School in 2013 and 2022, respectively. 

Ms. Du’s native language is Mandarin, and she speaks English fluently.
